COURT GRANTS NINTENDO'S WISH
The Game Genie, a "video game enhancer" developed by Lewis Galoob Toys, will have to stay in its bottle for the time being. A judge of the United States District Court, Northern District of California, has enjoined San Francisco-based Galoob from distributing the toy pending the trial of Nintendo of America's complaint seeking a permanent injunction.
The Game Genie gives players extra abilities in Nintendo video games. For instance, with the Game Genie attached, a player can give himself infinite lives or fly over obstacles that otherwise would have snared him. Nintendo alleges that the toy violates ...
