PLANS to dramatically expand Warrington's biggest shopping centre have been given the seal of approval by the Government.
The Golden Square mall is now one step closer to an expansion, which would offer 30,000sq m of retail space, department store Debenhams, along with car parking and a new bus station.
But the decision has thrown in to question an earlier planning approval which would have regenerated the opposite side of the town centre and secured the future of the town's historic market hall.
