Oct. 15--MIDLAND, Texas--Now in his seventh decade, Texas wildcatter Clayton Williams Jr. is a river of experience. The Guadalupe in cowboy boots.
So when the stories begin to flow from the man who built his net worth from a meager $4,000 to more than $200 million in 1983, you grab a line and a pole and start listening.
On the eve of the 2002 Permian Basin Oil Show, Williams, 71, says there's never been a better time to be an oil and gas wildcatter.
