CHICAGO -- The momentum of digital camera adoption among U.S. consumers continues at a torrid pace as digital cameras are rapidly displacing film cameras. Digital camera vendors shipped over 3.5 million units to U.S. consumers in the first half of 2002, up 50 percent from the same period last year, according to a new report from market researcher IDC.
