Oct. 15--Health care costs will continue their upward spiral next year and remain higher in Milwaukee than in the rest of the country, according to data released Monday.
Projections from Hewitt Associates, a global consultant based in Lincolnshire, Ill., indicate that Milwaukee-area employers will face average medical insurance costs of $7,369 per employee in 2003, a 15.3 percent jump from the 2002 premium.
The increase is in line with an expected 15.4 percent increase nationally, but the Milwaukee average would remain 17 percent higher than the projected ...
