Budget Control
Many wholesalers shudder when they hear the word "budget." Is the beer wholesaling industry ready for budgeting? The answer is yes. The unfortunate fact is that less than 50 percent of beer wholesalers use budgeting. This should concern most of us connected with the industry. While the beer wholesaler has made impressive strides in the areas of sales and marketing, he has not tackled the area of budget control.
Churches have budgets. Factories have budgets. Even individual families have budgets. But beer wholesalers, who spend millions of dollars a year, have not adopted this basic financial control tool.
