FAIRFAX, Va. -- Despite the recent decision by an arbitration panel, which ruled that Tanox Inc. does not have the right to independently develop TNX-901 -- an anti-IGE-antibody that could potentially be used to treat peanut allergy, the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) is optimistic that the science and research on this promising drug will continue, based on Tanox's announcement that the company intends to work closely with Novartis and Genetech to explore options for continuing progress on this treatment.
