HAVING recently endured some torturous train, bus and Tube journeys it was a pleasure to get back into a car.
But the need to catch up with some work set me thinking how fabulous it would be to have a chauffeur or, better still, a chauffeuse, for those boring but essential long-distance trips.
I couldn't manage a driver, except when my wife was in a good mood and our schedules coincided. But the arrival of two longwheelbase cars at Bray Towers in swift succession convinced me it really is the way to motor.
One of them was a new Rover that at a stretch could so easily fit in with my lifestyle - and I'm sure a good ...
