Dairy farmers might be struggling with low milk prices but researchers at UW-Madison have come up with a cheese idea that isn't half-baked.
In fact, this new cheese is fully-baked and served warm with honey or jam.
Cheesemakers at the Wisconsin Center for Dairy Research have unveiled a new specialty "bread cheese" they think could give a boost to the state's dairy industry.
Juustoleipa (pronounced HOO-stah-lee-pah) is a flat, squeaky cheese with a buttery flavor. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two months or frozen for up to one year.
