There are thousands of people in the United States who've kicked themselves for not having ordered a rear-wheel drive Chevrolet Impala SS during its brief three-year run, 1994 through 1996.
There are rumors about another Impala SS, but it may or may not materialize. If it does, it will be a much smaller car than the previous Impala. There's even a chance it could be powered by a V-6 engine.
For the legion of drivers who believe a performance car has to be domestic-made, have a V-8 engine, rear-wheel drive and be large, there is the Mercury Marauder.
