DENVER -- Tailgating fans have a lot more to cheer about these days than just the game. After nearly two decades, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has updated its ground beef data to include the many different types of ground beef available to consumers today, including the more popular, leaner products.
In fact, the results show that 95% lean/5% fat ground beef is lower in fat and calories and higher in many micronutrients than ground turkey.
