Methyl pyridine includes 3 varieties of 2-methyl pyridine, 3-methyl pyridine and 4-methyl pyridine. It is mainly used in the synthesis of intermediates for various fine chemicals such as pesticides, pharmaceuticals and rubber assistants.
There are only 5 methyl pyridine producers in China and the total capacity of the 3 varieties is less than 5 000 t/a.
