North Syracuse village trustees have agreed to give $8,000 to the Cicero Teen Center as part of an effort to keep the teen center open next year.
Tom Schunck, a Cicero town councilor, asked the North Syracuse trustees for long-term financial support for the teen center, which serves teen-agers in the North Syracuse school district.
The North Syracuse school district includes portions of Cicero, Clay, Salina and North Syracuse.
"The bottom line is to help the youth in our area," said Schunck. "We are looking for solid funding to make sure that the program stands."
