Republicans have a great many reasons to dislike Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe. He is every bit the rabble rousing, partisan attack dog an effective party chairman should be. When Mr. McAuliffe rails against President Bush, corporate America and public corruption, you find yourself staying a few feet back from the TV, so you don't get splattered with spit.
So, why is Terry McAuliffe the worst thing to happen to the Democratic Party since George McGovern? Isn't he the kind of guy who is great for his party because he really gets the other side wound up and distracted with little cost?
