SYDNEY, Oct 21 Asia Pulse - The Australian printing industry is plagued by lower profit margins and its desire to keep up with technology was putting it at risk, a report has found.
The Industry Risk Bulletin, from insolvency firm PPB Group, said the printing industry in Australia was suffering from its lowest level of capacity utilisation in 15 years.
The report observed that key indicators such as orders, production, profits, selling prices, employment and production costs had all declined.
It also said some companies had been forced to quit the industry, while many others were finding survival difficult.
