Years of talk regarding expansion and services at the Cook Memorial Library District may turn to action as frustrated patrons in Vernon Hills make plans to break an impasse.
Vernon Hills trustees tonight will be asked to support an effort to determine the feasibility and costs of disconnecting from the Libertyville-based library and forming a new district.
"Do we have the need? Is it time to do it and how do we do it?" said Jennifer Hakko, a Vernon Hills resident who will ask village trustees to set up a special committee to get some answers.
