SEOUL, Oct 22 Asia Pulse - Various countermeasures have little effect on reducing 'spam' mail due to more advanced methods of sending and inconsistent policies, a report said today.

Internet research firm, Nararesearch Co. surveyed 2,377 members and found the number of spam mails each person receives per day surged 21 per cent to 54.4, compared to its April report.

People have more e-mail accounts, 5.33 on average, getting 10.2 unwanted spam mails through each of the accounts, up 0.9 from six months ago, the report said.
