A fact-finding mission on water reform and privatisation in Ghana delivered its report at the end of last month. KWESI OWUSU *, who led the delegation, reports that the final document made disturbing reading.
For many in the developing world, gaining access to clean and affordable or many in the developing world, water can be a difficult daily struggle. More than one billion people lack access to clean and affordable water and approximately 2.4bn people lack access to proper sanitation services. Over 2m people, mostly children, die annually from diarrheal diseases related to lack of access to clean water.
