Glass enamel products formulated without lead are available for many glass and ceramic decorating application. One system substitutes with zinc while the other uses bismuth.
Public activist organizations and legislators throughout the United States and other countries are demanding that lead-bearing ceramic enamel decorating materials be replaced with enamels formulated without lead, cadmium or barium.
