Three years after a bitter special election divided rank-and-file members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, James P. "Jimmy" Hoffa will coast to a second term as president this fall with swelling support from members and growing influence in Washington.
Son of the legendary James R. Hoffa, Teamsters boss from 1957 to 1971, the younger Hoffa will turn back a challenge from Tom Leedham, an Oregon Teamsters official who lost to Hoffa in 1998.
