Oct. 24--Some time back, Vancouver travel agent Nancy McKenzie-Ross booked a group of 25 Clark College students for a trip to Europe, a flight that would go from Portland to Chicago before boarding Lufthansa for a flight overseas.
On Wednesday, that all changed. Lufthansa's announcement of new nonstop service from Portland International Airport to Frankfurt, Germany, opened for the first time direct, nonstop service between the local region and Europe.
