No, that's not misspelled--it is V-Strom. Don't ask us. The DL1000 is Suzuki's entry into the adventure-bike market invented by BMW with the R 1100 GS and R 1150 GS, followed by the Triumph Tiger. These are all big, tall bikes with big, powerful engines, supple suspensions and tires intended for exploring those compelling, marginally paved or unpaved back roads of America. The V-Strom has a DOHC 8-valve 996cc 90[degrees] V-twin engine that produces plenty of power (Suzuki doesn't release horsepower numbers) to keep up with traffic.
