WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 2002

Fitch Ratings has upgraded the underlying rating on Sarasota County Public Hospital Board's (the board) approximately $265 million outstanding revenue bonds listed below to 'A+' from 'A'. Fitch also affirms the short-term 'F1' rating assigned to the board's $74 million outstanding series 1996A variable-rate demand bonds, for which it provides its own liquidity to cover any unremarketed tendered bonds. At June 30, 2002, the board maintained cash and unrestricted investments of $394 million. The portfolio is managed very conservatively with no investment in equities and about 90% of the funds ...
