Oct. 24--ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.--Qwest has launched its own flat-fee unlimited local call wireless service to capture a share of the fast growing but credit challenged youth market.
Qwest's new service, called Q by Qwest, offers customers unlimited local wireless calling and features such as caller ID, call waiting and voicemail, for $39.99 per month. There is no credit check or contract commitment.
"It's geared toward college students or parents of students, and anybody who spends the majority of the time in one area," said Qwest spokesman Mark Genrich.
