PARAMUS, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 28, 2002

Vertex Interactive, Inc. (OTCBB:VETX), a leading provider of supply chain execution solutions, today announced that XeQute Solutions, Inc., its Enterprise Software Division, secured a contract with new customer, Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, a division of DaimlerChrysler (NYSE:DCX).

XeQute will implement a wireless system to manage plant maintenance at the Mercedes-Benz manufacturing plant in Alabama. The system is designed to interface with Mercedes-Benz's SAP (NYSE:SAP) system.
