ANAHEIM, Calif. - With the endurance of Ramon Ortiz in question because of tendinitis in his right wrist, Anaheim Angels manager Mike Scioscia said he will give the starting assignment in tonight's seventh and final game of the World Series to rookie John Lackey.
Lackey, who was 9-4 during the regular season, allowed three runs in five innings in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the San Francisco Giants at Pacific Bell Park.
Giants manager Dusty Baker will stick with his scheduled starter, Livan Hernandez.
