PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local KERMANSHSA PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRIES (KPIC) recently awarded a construction contract for a new fertilizer plant to an international consortium. The partners in the planned undertaking include Japan-based TOMEN CORP. and KAWASAKI INDUSTRIES in conjunction with MW KELLOG of the UK and the local NAMVARAN.
According to the terms of the award, the partnership will be responsible for building a complex with installed production capacities of: - 2,000 tons per day (t/d) of urea; - 1,200 t/d of ammonia.
The facility, of undisclosed cost, is to be sited in the western province of Kermanshah.
