Tse: Richard Chai has some pretty big shoes to fill. After all, becoming Tse's creative director after Victor Alfaro and Hussein Chalnyan -- who had already established themselves before taking over the line -- can't be easy. But Chai has had a strong background, with stints at Donna Karan and Marc Jacobs, and his design sensibility is strong. And it shows. For his first runway presentation, he brought an element of artsiness as well as tailoring to the knits that Tse customers love so much.
