Oct. 28--Momentum continued to build during the fall International Home Furnishings Market toward Wednesday being its true opening day.

While I was walking around market Oct. 16, it appeared at least 60 percent of the exhibitors had opened officially for business. That's up from 30-40 percent in the past four years.

Thursday is the official opening day for market.

Manufacturers such as Thomasville Furniture, Century and Drexel Heritage opened officially that Wednesday, as well as the 200 Steele building, Union Square and most of the Hamilton-Wrenn ...
