Tony Soprano, the HBO organized crime star, sees his rackets as just another means of doing business.
David Simon, author of "Tony Soprano's America: The Criminal Side of the American Dream" (Westview: $25), agrees.
Simon, a research associate at the University of California-Berkeley and a contributor to Madison's "Progressive" magazine, says the criminality of Soprano and his gang is all too often a reflection of the real life of American society.
