AVERAGE CHINESE HOUSE PRICE STANDS AT USD 270/SQ M

Estimates by the National Bureau of Statistics show that the average cost of 1 sq m of residential housing in China stands at RMB 2,227.1 (USD 270), a rise of RMB 137.1 (USD 16.6) year on year. The prices in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangdong, Liaoning and Hainan all exceed the national average, according to Beijing Chenbao, with Beijing the highest, at RMB 4,517.2 (USD 545.75) per sq m.
