TOKYO, Oct 29 Asia Pulse - IBM Japan Ltd. will start delivering major orders jointly with Ricoh Co. (TSE:7752) in December, in a bid to improve distribution efficiency, sources close to the matter said Monday.
IBM Japan will deliver packages containing both its personal computers and Ricoh's printers to customers.
The arrangement will cover major orders combining over 100 PCs and 10 printers. As a growing number of customers are replacing PCs introduced in the late 1990s, IBM Japan receives 400-500 major orders a year, with the joint delivery with Ricoh expected to cover about 10 per cent.
