BERGDORF GOODMAN MEN RUNS BEHIND SALES PLAN
BOSTON (FNS) - Torpedoed by the declining economy, Bergdorf Goodman Men, the men's store opened last August in New York, has performed below initial expectations, but executives of the Neiman Marcus Group (NMG), Bergdorf's parent, remain optimistic about the concept once the economy improves.
Some changes in merchandise assortment and location in the men's store will be instituted next month based on activity in the first few months the store has been open.
