TOKYO, Oct 30 Asia Pulse - Daiei Inc. (TSE:8263), which is undergoing business restructuring, will provide floor space to consumer electronics retailer Yamada Denki Co. (TSE:9831).
The two reached a basic agreement Tuesday under which Yamada Denki will use a portion of the floor space in the consumer electronics specialty shops located within Daiei supermarkets.
Daiei hopes the move will help it to revive ailing operations in the sale of consumer electronics, which have been a drain on its earnings, and help it to restore profitability.
