The Fragrance Foundation held its semi-annual Fall/Winter 2002/2003 Trends Report breakfast. Some of the highlights included a trend toward the continuing use of lighter scents throughout the day, for women and a shift away from florals, and a move toward light florientals and aromachology type scents. For evening, new expressions of the gourmand, particularly sweet almond, are growing in popularity, and fragrances that are spicy and somewhat sweet will capture their attention as well as the attention of others.
