SINGAPORE, Oct 31 Asia Pulse - DBS Group Holdings (DBS) (SGX:DBSM) has registered operating profit of S$462 million (US$261.65 million) for the third quarter of 2002, down 9.5 per cent compared to the same period last year,

Operating profit for the first nine months of 2002 was S$1,434 million, up 11.2 per cent compared to the same period in 2001, it said in a statement.

The results include the consolidation of Dao Heng's income for nine months of 2002 but only from July 1 for the corresponding period in 2001.

For the first nine months of 2002, net profit attributable to members was down 11.5 per cent to S$735 million.
