WHAT'S NEW ! IBM's National Support Center for Persons with Disabilities was established to be a clearinghouse of information about adaptive devices, products, software and support groups available to help persons with disabilities use an IBM computer.
The database contains more than 850 products, 500 vendors and 850 support groups. Database information is organized into five resource guides covering impairments affecting vision, speech or language, hearing, mobility and learning. In 1989, the Center responded to more than 24,000 requests for information.
