CATHOLICS keep the Feast of All Saints' Day today. This celebration of the saints recalls the "ordinary saints'' who lived good lives but who are not among the officially recognized or "canonized'' saints of the Church. In a way, All Saints' Day points to the calling of every Christian to live as a faithful witness of Jesus.
For Filipino Catholics, All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day form one extended celebration of life and of life-after-death. Filipino Christians will visit the nation's cemeteries and recall their loved ones who have passed away.
