A Ludlow truck driver has received more honors for his role in helping to apprehend two sniper suspects in the Washington, D.C., area.
Ron Lantz received a framed Heroes Stamp memento from the U.S. Postal Service and a letter and flag from U.S. Rep. Ken Lucas in a ceremony Wednesday at the Ludlow post office.
Ludlow city officials declared Wednesday Ron Lantz Day, and the local school district honored Lantz at Ludlow High School.
There he urged students to play active roles in making their communities safe. "If you see something, don't be ashamed to get involved," he said.
