It's the leaders, stupid!
Bishop Wilton Gregory's recent Catholic Bishops Conference acknowledged the failure of the Church to address its pedophile scandal -- perhaps an admission best served cold.
The only thing these church pooh-bahs now seem capable of doing is apologizing for the actions of the predators they themselves put in place. Maddeningly, the princes of the church have done this while scrupulously avoiding any admission of their own guilt or responsibility for this sorry state of affairs.
