Article: Rolls-Royce AE 3007-Powered ERJ Enters Service With Delta Connection.

CHANTILLY, Va. -- A Rolls-Royce AE 3007-powered Embraer regional jet entered service today (1 November 2002) with Delta Connection under an operating agreement with Chautauqua Airlines.

The 50-seat ERJ 145 -- the first AE 3007-powered aircraft to be operated by Chautauqua on behalf of Delta Connection -- launches the airline's non-stop service from Columbus, Ohio, to Orlando, Florida.

In June 2002, Chautauqua ordered 22 firm aircraft -- seven ERJ 145s and 15 ERJ 135s -- and 30 options. The engine order and accompanying Total Care maintenance package are worth a combined value of up to US$178 million to Rolls-Royce.
