John Dema, president of Caffe Luca Coffee Roasters, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on August 24, 2002. Dema is survived by his wife, Carol, and his sons, Christian and Scott.
Dema was born in the small town of Ferrandina, Italy, near Taranto. He took his first job in America as general manager of the Rheingold Pavilion at the World's Fair in New York in 1964. Years later, Dema joined the Ritz-Carlton in Chicago. In 1982, the Dema family ...
