Esure, the telephone and online insurance service backed by HBOS, has parted company with Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners (DLKW), its creative agency for the past 18 months, and taken its [pound sterling]9m advertising budget in house.
The news comes as a TV ad created by film director Michael Winner is about to air. Apparently, Winner criticised Esure's advertising-- which uses animated stick figures and the strapline 'don't get mad, get Esure" -- in a meeting with the company's founder, Peter Wood, and suggested he could do better. Winner's ad airs on October 16.
