Stanyl TW200F3, a 4/6 nylon from DSM Engineering Plastics, replaces aluminum in the oil reservoir of the 2002 Polaris Industries' Sportsman 400 and 500 H.O series all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). According to DSM, the replacement of aluminum with Stanyl has resulted in a cost reduction and a 51% weight reduction. Moreover, Stanyl has demonstrated a better performance-to-cost ratio in hot oil applications than its competitors.
