HANOI, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - The Rang Dong (Dawn) field, Block 15-2, off the southern basin of Vietnam, has achieved first oil from two new well head platforms, ConocoPhillips of the U.S. announced on Oct. 28.

ConocoPhillips added that these additional platforms have boosted production from the field by 40 per cent and gross production is now averaging 65,000 barrels of oil per day.
