Meghan Macdonald knew about the Downers Grove South girls volleyball program and its tradition years before she started playing the sport.
As a little girl, her dad, John, who is the physical education, health and driver's education department head at the high school, took her to watch the Mustangs as they were rising to power.
"I remember being there and being amazing and wanting to do that," Macdonald said. "I knew all about Terri Zemaitis. Watching her was like, 'Wow!' I'd go to all the matches so I knew about (the) program and everything and how great it was, but I never thought that I would be playing on the ...
