The Parana-based farm cooperatives are concerned about their brands, and some of them are even changing the name. There are already three groups in such process: Cocamar, Lar and Coopervale. The companies are amongst the largest players of the sector, responsible for 50% of the Parana GDP. The cooperatives might turn over R$7.8bil this year and move 70% of the soy beans and 50% of the corn produced in the state (1/4 of the Brazilian grains production).
