Warwickshire have taken the lead in attempting to form a new Under-19s two-day league competition for next season after the England and Wales Cricket Board controversially deleted that age-group from their funding programme.
The Bears, along with Worcestershire and four other Midlands counties, have already been in communication and will shortly be in further discussions to fund, organise and contest their own Under-19s competition in 2003.
