EVERY PIECE has a pedigree in Kathleen Murray's closet.
``Gray Pendleton wool,'' she says, holding up a sleeve with tags dangling. ``Three pieces. Skirt, slacks, jacket. Bought it in 1983. Marked down - oh, look at this - from $76 to $12.50.''
It's moved all over the world with Murray, in her 22-year career as a naval officer. Never worn.
Kim Wadsworth dusts the shoulders of the jacket, and hikes the hem to knee-length. She's a fashion stylist, called in to calm the chaos in Murray's closet.
