The former bank headquarters turned hotel on Fifth Avenue in downtown Seattle will be getting its third name in six years, but the renaming is part of a much larger campaign to restore a lodging-chain name to prominence.
Spokane-based WestCoast Hospitality Corp. says it plans to rename its WestCoast Grand Hotel on Fifth Avenue to the Red Lion brand in late January or early February.
The Seattle hotel is one of 22 hotels, including the WestCoast Sea-Tac and the Best Western Bellevue Inn, that will be converted to the Red Lion name.
